We are always seeking highly motivated individuals to serve on our Board of Directors or volunteer as opportunities become available.

Advocacy - Represent our interests at the local, state and federal levels.
Conservation, Construction, and Landscaping - Participate with LakeSmart, the Loon Count, invasive plant monitoring - via Courtesy Boat Inspection or Plant Paddles - and more. Tackle non-point source (NPS) pollution projects with our Erosion Control Team, the Youth Conservation Corps and landowners.
Development - Foster existing relationships and curate new funding opportunities.
Education - Plan and host community awareness events and other programs.
Financial Stewardship - Maximize the impact of FOLW’s membership donations, grants and other investments.
Logistics and Organization - Utilize strong communication and project management skills to support FOLW initiatives.
Public Speaking - Engage with the community — kids to seniors! — at various events.
Social Media, Website, and Technology - Grow FOLW’s digital presence, user engagement and experience.
Writing and Design - Create copy and materials for FOLW programs.
The Board of Directors meets monthly - Zoom Option available - on the fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. In addition to regular meeting attendance, Directors are required to be actively engaged and fully support our mission. Directors and Officers serve 1 Year terms and are elected at every Annual Meeting on the 1st Saturday in August.
